Write for the Breathe Offline Community | Guest Post Opportunities Free

Every one of us has a story about a moment we chose to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with ourselves. A story about a hike that cleared our minds, a new hobby that grounded us, or a digital detox that changed our perspective. These stories are the heartbeat of BreatheOffline.

They are reminders that in a world that constantly demands our attention, the most profound experiences often happen when we deliberately look away from our screens and engage with the world around us.

And now, we want to hear your story.

BreatheOffline is more than just a blog; it’s a growing community dedicated to finding balance, embracing slowness, and celebrating the beauty of an intentional, less-connected life. We are opening our platform to guest post contributors who share our passion and have a unique voice, a powerful experience, or valuable expertise to share. If you’re a writer, a storyteller, an expert, or simply someone with a compelling message about living well in the digital age, we invite you to contribute.

The Stories We Love to Tell

We’re looking for high-quality, original, and inspiring content that aligns with our core values. We want articles that are personal, practical, and beautifully written. Think of yourself as having a conversation with a friend over a cup of tea, sharing something that genuinely helped or moved you.

Our main categories include, but are not limited to:

  • Digital Wellness & Detox: Personal stories of a digital detox, practical guides for reducing screen time, commentary on social media and mental health, and tips for creating a healthier relationship with technology.

  • Mindfulness & Slow Living: Articles on meditation, journaling, simplifying your life, finding joy in small moments, and the philosophy of living slowly and intentionally.

  • Nature & The Great Outdoors: Stories about the restorative power of nature, hiking guides, reflections on eco-consciousness, and how to connect with the natural world, even in an urban environment.

  • Offline Hobbies & Creativity: Pieces that celebrate analog hobbies like reading physical books, gardening, pottery, painting, cooking, or any activity that pulls you away from a screen and into a creative flow.

  • Authentic & Mindful Travel: We’re not looking for listicles of tourist hotspots. We want stories about slow travel, meaningful cultural experiences, and journeys that changed your perspective.

  • Personal Growth & Reflection: Essays on overcoming burnout, finding purpose, building meaningful relationships offline, and introspective pieces about the human experience in our hyper-connected world.

Submission Guidelines: The Nitty-Gritty

To maintain the quality and integrity of our content, we ask that all contributors adhere to the following guidelines. This ensures a smooth process and helps your submission have the best chance of being accepted.

  1. Originality is Key: Your submission must be 100% original, written by you, and not published anywhere else on the internet, including your own blog. We do not accept plagiarized or spun content.

  2. Depth and Quality: We look for well-researched, in-depth articles that provide real value. Aim for a word count between 1,000 and 1,500 words.

  3. Authentic Tone: Write in a natural, conversational, and inspiring voice. Be vulnerable, be honest, and be you. We want to hear your unique perspective, not a generic, AI-generated article.

  4. Readability: Please format your article for easy online reading. Use short paragraphs, clear H2 and H3 headings, bullet points, and numbered lists to break up the text.

  5. Links: You may include 1-2 relevant, non-promotional links within the body of the article to cite sources or provide additional value to the reader. You will receive one do-follow link to your website or social profile in your author bio. No affiliate links, please.

  6. Author Bio: Prepare a short bio (2-3 sentences) to be featured at the end of your article. This is where you can include your link.

Ready to Share Your Story? Here’s How.

We believe the best articles start with a great idea. To save you time, please do not send us a full, completed article.

In your email, please include:

  • A brief introduction to who you are and what you love to write about.

  • 2-3 potential headlines for your proposed article.

  • A short summary or bullet-point outline of your article, explaining the key takeaways for the reader.

  • A link to your blog or one or two samples of your previously published work.

Our team reviews every pitch carefully. If your idea is a great fit for our audience, we will get in touch within 1-2 weeks with the next steps.

We are incredibly excited to read your ideas and welcome new voices to our community. Your story matters, and we can’t wait to help you share it.
