Fennica Gaming partners with IGT to expand VLT content availability

Fennica Gaming partners with IGT to bring its VLT games to Sweden and other international markets.

Fennica Gaming has entered into a collaboration with International Game Technology (IGT) to widen the accessibility of its Video Lottery Terminal (VLT) content.

The partnership is part of Fennica Gaming’s foray into international markets, facilitated by the integration of its VLT games onto IGT’s platform.

The agreement, which commences with an arrangement with Svenska Spel in Sweden, involves supplying multiple games to approximately 4,000 VLTs across the country.

Timo Kiiskinen, Fennica Gaming Managing Director, said: β€œIGT’s open technology has enabled us to supply our VLT games tailored for Svenska Spel’s needs. For us, it has been of utmost importance to listen to the market’s wishes and to share the professional expertise we have within Veikkaus Group.”

Rene Dissing, IGT Account Development Manager, added: β€œHaving worked with Fennica on a number of business opportunities and witnessed the very successful and localisable VLT content of its mother company Veikkaus, it was only natural to sign a cooperation agreement ensuring Fennica VLT content would become available to Svenska Spel initially. We are excited about the collaboration with Fennica and we are certain its content will complement the already successful IGT content available in Sweden.”

This partnership follows

Fennica Gaming’s

collaboration with German lottery operator Lotto Hessen, where Fennica Gaming’s cloud-based eInstant games were integrated into Lotto Hessen’s portfolio.

Furthermore, in the legal realm, IGT announced the reaffirmation of the validity of its patent by the

United States Patent and Trademark Office

(USPTO).
